There's no mistaking that autumn is here now, and as families resist turning on the heating as the nights get chillier, many are wondering when the second instalment of the £650 cost of living payment will be coming to them.
Struggling households are facing increased energy prices and the highest inflation rise in 40 years, adding to their food and fuel bills, but some are concerned that Queen’s death may have delayed the money as many processes are on hold during the period of national mourning.
However the Government has confirmed it is continuing to work “at pace” to ensure households receive their energy grants, although there is still no deadline issued for when all payments should be received.
