It had been a while since The Boys’ season two landed on Amazon Prime Video, when many fans eagerly waiting for the third season. Thankfully that changed yesterday when the first three episodes out of eight dropped on the streaming platform.
The good news is that we have less than 10 days for the next episode of season three to be released, the bad news is that you can’t watch the new episodes all at once. Episodes will continue to drop weekly until the first week of July. It does mean that fans who have already binged through the start of the new season will have to wait before they can follow what the rest of the series.
The Amazon production is based on the comics by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson. It uses the original character and world of the source material to create a unique story. Here’s what you need to know about the rest of season three.
When is the rest of The Boys season 3 released?
There are three episodes available at the moment. The next five will be released regularly over the coming weeks.
Episode four called ‘Glorious Five Year Plan’ will stream on June 10, the next episode ‘The Last Time to Look on This World of Lies’ comes out on June 17 and episode six ‘Herogasm’ will be released on June 24.
Episode seven is called ‘Here Comes a Candle to Light You to Bed’ and will be released on July 1 and the last episode of the series ‘The Instant White-Hot Wild’ is expected to come out on July 8. There isn’t a confirmed release time but judging from previous episodes it will go live at around 1am UK time.
What happened in season 3 so far?
It’s been a calm year and homelander’s subdued. Butcher works for the government and supervising him is Hughie. They both want to turn the tranquillity into something more sinister.
The Boys are ecstatic when they hear of a mysterious Anti-Supe weapon. As a result of this weapon, they crash into the Seven, starting a war and chase the legend of the first Superhero: Soldier Boy.
The show will introduce Soldier Boy, the first Captain America lookalike and his original team Payback. It’s unknown whether his team made it onto the production but they consisted of Eagle the Archer, Tek Knight, Crimson Countess and Stormfront.
