Today is officially a bank holiday for the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II and multiple retailers announced they would be closing their doors as a mark of respect.
Supermarkets and high-street stores have confirmed they will be closed to allow staff members and customers to pay respects and watch the late monarch's funeral.
The Queen's funeral will officially begin at Westminster Abbey at 11am this morning and anyone looking to get in some last minute essentials might find that they are unable to do so for the rest of today. Most supermarkets and retailers will be reopening as normal from tomorrow, but some smaller convenience stores will open their doors after the funeral today at around 5pm.
