As we enter the month of July, the hype surrounding EA Sports' brand-new game EA Sports FC is rapidly starting to build.
After 30 years of publishing the EA Sports FIFA series, FIFA 23 was the final instalment after the 30-year partnership between EA and FIFA came to an end last year. Now, the publisher will move forward with EA Sports FC, its brand new game and first without the FIFA branding.
FIFA 23 promised to be one of the best FIFA titles in history when it was released in September last year, with new-feel gameplay and new features really making it feel different from the copy-and-paste style of game FIFA fans had received since FIFA 19. But, a copious amount of errors in game modes such as Ultimate Team and Pro Clubs in recent weeks has seen the game hurl towards its conclusion on a negative note, with fans now looking forward to the future and EA FC 24.
With a new logo and a refreshing new look, EA FC 24 has players excited for what's to come in the new game, despite little to no details having been released yet. Supposed leaks and rumours in circulation suggest we could see big changes in Ultimate Team and Career Mode, but with EA now away from the FIFA name, players are anticipating the publisher to go crazy with new content and provide the best football game in years.
So, with FIFA 23 coming towards the end of its cycle, when is EA FC 24 expected to be released? Let's take a look.
EA FC 24 release date
Historically, EA has usually released a new FIFA titles in late September or early October, with the exception of FIFA 21, which was pushed back to a later release date of October 6, 2020. It's hard to predict whether EA will continue to release EA FC by following the same pattern, because with EA FC 24 being the first of a whole new series of games, EA could opt to release it even earlier or later than usual.
FIFA's past release dates have always fallen on the last Friday in September (FIFA 22 was Friday, October 1) to give the publishers enough time to match up with the real-life football calendar though, and we expect the same will happen in EA FC 24. With this in mind, we expect the global EA FC 24 release date to be Friday, September 29, 2023.
If EA was to release EA FC 24 as it did with FIFA 23, then players who pre-order the game will receive early access to the gamw, meaning that players could potentially access EA FC 24 as early as Monday, September 26, 2023.
EA Play subscribers have also been offered a 10-hour trial to play the game before its official release, and if EA FC 24 does the same as FIFA 23, eligible players will be able to access the game for 10 hours on the same day as players who pre-ordered. We're likely to be provided an official EA FC 24 release date in the coming weeks by EA, so keep your eyes peeled.
