A wholesome post shared on Reddit has gone viral after a user showed how quickly a rescued dog transformed after finding a new home. The user, Xamlax, shared several pictures of a dog, that they adopted with the caption, “when we first adopted her vs 24 hours later,” and the contrast between the dog’s facial expressions touched the hearts of many.
In the first picture, the dog seemed nervous and sad, as if it was still not sure of its surroundings. However, in the second picture taken just a day after, the dog looked completely relaxed and comfortable, lying down as if it had finally realized that it was safe. The post quickly went viral, with many saying that this is a common occurrence for rescue pets.
