When Sunderland's Roker Pier is set to reopen after damaged caused by storm Arwen

Storm Arwen Sunderland

Works to repair damage to Roker Pier caused by Storm Arwen are due to be completed by the end of March, council chiefs have confirmed.

Back in 2021, Sunderland City Council announced the city landmark was closed to the public following the severe weather event.

This aimed to allow assessments to take place to look at the scale of damage and if repairs were needed.
