Thursday started with snow for many people across the North East - but there's more to come.
The Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for snow, which is in place across the region until 2pm on Friday. Forecasters say the North East should expect disruption on roads and public transport in areas that get heavy snowfall.
In addition, an amber weather warning for snow is in place from 3pm on Thursday until 12pm on Friday, covering parts of County Durham. Stanhope and Barnard Castle are among the areas included in the alert.
