What time is Tommy Fury vs Jake Paul fight? UK start time, TV channel and undercard

Tommy Fury will finally meet Jake Paul tonight, with the fight set to take place in Saudi Arabia following two previous failed attempts to meet in the ring.

The fight was announced last month, with the pair meeting in the ring prior to Artur Beterbiev's light-heavyweight world title win against Anthony Yarde in London. However, Fury did not appear at a press conference in Saudi Arabia on February 8, with his partner Molly Mae Hague having recently given birth.

Fury has pulled out of two previous fights, with a December 2021 fight called off with the Manchester born boxer citing a combination of illness and injury for his withdrawal. Then, in August 2022, Fury withdrew from their rearranged contest, with Visa issues preventing his travel to the USA.

Unlike many crossover boxing events such as Misfits, both fighters are fully licensed, with Fury having won the first five fights of his professional career while Paul is fully licensed, but is yet to meet a fully professional boxer with the majority of his fights taking place against MMA stars.

The fight has been given additional credibility with the news that the winner will receive a top 40 cruiserweight ranking with the WBC, with the opportunity being handed to Paul initially despite just six professional fights. Fury, meanwhile, has eight wins on his record, with four coming via knockout and will be Paul's toughest opponent to date.

The fight will also see the WBC cruiserweight world championship decided, with Ilunga Makabu taking on Badou Jack hoping to defend his title.

What has been said?

Tommy Fury (speaking to the Mirror): "At the end of the day, if I cared about what people thought about me I probably wouldn't be in this position in the first place. don't care what anybody thinks about me as long as God knows I'm doing good, my family; my missus and my baby.

"They're the opinions that I care about. At the end of the day, everyone's going to have an opinion, let them think what they're going to think. I will be there bright and early in Saudi Arabia, ready for this. There's no worries of me not showing up to this fight.

"The two previous fights that didn't go ahead were completely out of my hands, they had nothing to do with me whatsoever. What happened is what happened, but I am fit, I am conditioned, I'm here, I'm ready and I will be in Saudi don't worry about that."

Jake Paul (speaking at the pre-fight press conference): “I’m used to his behaviour at this point. He’s unprofessional, he’s a flake, he’s not a serious businessman, he’s not a serious fighter.

“I’m going to prove that, that’s why this fight is called ‘The Truth’, because the truth is going to come out. He’s going to have to pay for all the times he pulled out, all the business people he screwed over.

“It’s disrespectful, they’re some of the biggest names in boxing and biggest promoters in the world, some of the most influential people in the world, one of the greatest countries in the world and he doesn’t want to show up because of a private matter. Cool.

“We all have private matters, when you sign up to do something and you make a commitment that’s what it should be about and it just shows me that he’s scared."
