As Americans celebrate President's Day on Monday, commemorating a new anniversary of George Washington's birthday, there are many who are already looking at the calendar to check when the next national holiday is going to be.
Those who do might be a bit disappointed, as they will realize they will have to wait over three months before the next national holiday of 2024, as Memorial Day will take place on Monday, May 27.

Overall, the national holiday calendar for 2024 marks that are 11 such days in the U.S., with the first one already behind (Martin Luther King Day on January 15) and the second one taking place this Monday.
When is the next national holiday?
After memorial day, the next national holiday for 2024 will take place on June 19 (Juneteenth), the following one being the 4th of July. Then there's a two-month hiatus until Labor Day on September 2, followed by Indigenous Peoples' Day (also observed as Columbus Day) on October 14th.
The remaining three national holidays in 2024 will be: Veteran's Day (November 11), Thanksgiving Day (November 28) and Christmas Day (December 25). The U.S. is among the countries with the least amount of public holidays when compared with Latin American countries, only above Mexico (7) Nicaragua (9) and Bolivia (10). Ecuador and Honduras have the same amount, the rest enjoying more days off.
The country with the most holidays in Latin America is Venezuela, with 21. It is closely followed by Chile, with 20, and Colombia, with 18. Argentina will have 15, El Salvador 14 and Brazil 12.
