Quarters? Scrimmages? Downs? Free pints...that we understand.
The majority of Irish people may not know much about American football but we do know a lot about pints.
So heads were turned when it emerged that free pints were going at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday after wifi-issues saw the long queues of thirsty supporters getting free drinks.

The Dublin venue was packed out as college football sides Northwestern Wildcats and Nebraska Cornhuskers came to town.
All of the American-style razzmatazz and dramatics were on show as a sporting event went on somewhere in the middle of it.
But, while free pints can't be guaranteed in the future, it has whetted the appetite for many Irish people for more American football.
And they are in luck as Saturday was the start of five college football games set to come to Ireland in partnership with Aer Lingus.

When is the next college football match in Dublin?
The next college football is scheduled for the Aviva Stadium on Saturday, August 26, 2023.
Who is playing?
The Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team will take on the Navy Midshipmen.
Who are the teams?
The Notre Dame Fighting Irish represent the University of Notre Dame in Notre Dame, Indiana, north of the city of South Bend. The team plays its home games at the campus' Notre Dame Stadium, which has a capacity of 77,622.
The Navy Midshipmen football team represents the United States Naval Academy, with their 34,000-capacity Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis, Maryland.
It will be the 97th meeting of the longest uninterrupted intersectional rivalry in college football. The Irish and Midshipmen will be making their third visit to Ireland; in 1996 they met in Dublin at Croke Park for the first time with the Irish defeating Navy 54-27, and then again defeating Navy 50-10 at Aviva Stadium in 2012.
What to expect?
While some 15,000 American football fans came across the Atlantic to see Northwestern take on Nebraska, it is expected 35,000 fans will travel from the US and Europe to see Notre Dame take on Navy. It's going to be a big party.

How long is a match?
The average American football game lasts around three hours, but with a big build-up and various sideshows, it really is an all-day event.
How can I get tickets?
Individual game tickets will become available in early 2023. Americans can currently buy packages that combine flights, accommodation and tickets for the match.
