A documentary on the Hollywood icon Marilyn Monroe is set to come out on Netflix this month. Fans of the star, as well as those who are curious to find out more about her story, will be among those keen to see it.

Marilyn Monroe’s death aged 36 in 1962 has been subject to conspiracy theories and rumours for decades. A trailer for The Mystery of Marilyn Monroe: The Unheard Tapes is now available to watch on the Netflix YouTube channel, as well as within the streaming platform itself.

The Mystery of Marilyn Monroe: The Unheard Tapes promises to piece together the actor’s final weeks, days and hours by bringing in unheard recordings of those who knew her best. Viewers can also expect the documentary to concentrate on Monroe’s glamorous, complicated life, as well as offering a fresh new perspective on the night of her death.

The trailer of the new documentary features audio clips of Marilyn Monroe speaking. At the start of the two-minute clip there is a soundbite of the actor asking the question: ‘’How do you go about writing a life story?’’

It then continues with another soundbite of Marilyn, in which she is heard saying: ‘’The true things rarely get into circulation. It’s usually the false things.’’
