Fortnite’s All Sweat Summer event is here and it brings with it some massive changes to the multiplayer game.
There are new quests, free rewards, and gameplay tweaks that will alter some of the most popular modes on Fortnite.
Here’s what you need to know about the event.
When is Fortnite’s summer event?
It’s become a bit of a tradition for Fortnite to hold a special event during the hotter months, and the colder ones, and this season is no different.
Starting today (July 4), Fortnite players can earn rewards by completing quests tied to the All Sweat Summer event. The festivities will last two weeks, or a fortnight (see what they did there?), during which the game will undergo some big changes.

What’s new?
Fortnite maker Epic Games has announced a series of modifications to the biggest modes, including Zero Build and Ranked Battle Royale.
From today, vehicles and vehicle items are disabled, including the powerful Boss cars (armed with machine gun turrets) introduced in Chapter 5, Season 3.
The same goes for Nitro Fists, the supercharged melee weapon that lets you pummel opponents, which were also added this season.
Meanwhile, those characters you could hire to join your squad for a fee? They’re turning hostile. Unlike vehicles, the NPCs stay put with bosses and their medallions.
What are the quests and rewards?
To start the event off, Fortnite has added six quests and corresponding rewards for players to earn, with more expected to come every day.
Here are today’s quests and rewards:
