When is the FIFA Club World Cup final and how to watch in the UK for free

Chelsea are bidding to become world champions over the next few days as they take on Al-Hilal on Wednesday afternoon.

The Champions League holders are currently in the United Arab Emirates as they prepare for their clash against the Saudi Pro League outfit in the semi-final of the FIFA Club World Cup.

The winner of the tie will face Palmeiras in the final that is set to take place on Saturday afternoon.

So, with this said, some Chelsea supporters may be curious to whether they will be able to tune in and watch their side in action - if they do indeed reach the final - so here is all of the key information ahead of the clash.

When is the FIFA Club World Cup final?

The match kicks off at 4:30pm (UK time) on Saturday, February 12.

How can I watch the FIFA Club World Cup final?

Channel 4 have got the rights to the FIFA Club World Cup and will broadcast the final live from 4pm, with half an hour of pre-match build-up, on Saturday afternoon.

The channel will be allowed to break the 2:45-5:15pm blackout rule in the UK, with the tournament being run by FIFA.

You can also watch the match online on All 4 for free, with an account required to access the coverage.

Chelsea team news

With Thomas Tuchel still in the UK recovering from Covid-19, his assistant coach Zsolt Low delivered some early team news ahead of Wednesday afternoon's semi-final.

Low confirmed Reece James will not take part in the tournament and also revealed that Edouard Mendy is due back from international duty over the next couple of days.

He said: "Reece James, no chance he'll play in the cup. He's in a good way but will miss still some days.

"He's here to enjoy the group again. Mendy will arrive probably later today or tomorrow and we'll see how tired he is. He has to arrive first, we have to check him and talk to him. We'll see if it's possible he plays, maybe."
