What time is the Europa League draw? Man Utd and Arsenal to learn last-16 fate

The Europa League last-16 draw will take place this Friday, with Arsenal and Manchester United among the giant clubs set to learn their knockout-stage opponents.

Mikel Arteta's men, who are leading the way in the Premier League, automatically qualified for the last 16 as a seeded team thanks to finishing top of their group. Manchester United, meanwhile, came second behind Real Sociedad, but emerged through two legs against Barcelona to reach the business end of the competition.

The Red Devils will be an unseeded team in Friday's draw after coming from behind to beat Barca 2-1 at Old Trafford and 4-3 on aggregate. The two English clubs cannot be drawn against each other because sides from the same nation are not permitted to be paired until the quarter-final stage.

Without further ado, here is all you need to know about the Europa League last-16 draw.

When is the Europa League last-16 draw?

The Europa League draw will take place at 11am GMT in Nyon, Switzerland at UEFA's headquarters, which is customary for the governing body's ceremonies.

The eight seeded teams - who finished top of their respective groups - will be drawn against the unseeded teams, who reached the last 16 via the play-offs. This extra elimination round pitted the runners-up from the Europa League group stage against teams who finished third in their Champions League groups.
