When is the England World Cup squad announcement?

World Cup England Thomas Tuchel Arsenal Crystal Palace EPL the Three Lions Brazil Canada Costa Rica

The 2026 World Cup, which will be co-hosted by the United States, Mexico and Canada, is set to get underway on 11 June.
A number of major nations, including France and Brazil, have already named their squads for the tournament, with Kylian Mbappe and Neymar both set to star at this summer’s tournament.
England head coach Thomas Tuchel is set to announce his 26-man squad on Friday 22 May, as the Three Lions bid to win the World Cup for the first time since 1966.
Tuchel will be naming his squad prior to the final round of Premier League fixtures on 24 May, while Crystal Palace and Arsenal are also due to play in European finals later this month.
England will have warm-up games against New Zealand on 6 June and Costa Rica on 10 June, before getting their World Cup campaign underway on 17 June against Croatia.
