A sad day is coming in the TV calendar as comedy favourite, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, is set to air its final episodes in the UK on E4. British fans have had to wait a little longer than their American counterparts, as the the two-parter was previously released in September 2021 in the US. The series, which is set in the fictional 99th Precinct of the New York City Police Department in Brooklyn, has been running since 2013 and has been making viewers laugh for eight seasons.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine follows a team of detectives headed by the serious and intellectual Captain Raymond Holt (played by Andre Braugher respectively), who is assigned as their new commanding officer in the pilot episode. Since its conception, the series has been a huge hit internationally and received widespread acclaim from critics.
The series was controversially cancelled by Fox after its fifth series in May 2018, leading to a huge backlash from fans. Despite this, NBC announced that it would pick Brooklyn Nine-Nine up and it did so until its conclusion. UK fans of the series have been desperate for the final episodes to be released in this country and the wait is finally over.
