Lando Norris could clinch his maiden Formula 1 world title this evening at the Qatar Grand Prix with a race to spare.
The championship table-topper now holds a 22-point lead over McLaren team-mate Oscar Piastri and 25-point lead over reigning four-time champion Max Verstappen, having seen his advantage trimmed on Saturday when Piastri won the sprint race from pole position and then sealed top spot on the grid for the grand prix after a mistake from Norris saw him abort his final qualifying lap.
