Nottingham Forest will have to wait for over a month for their next Premier League game as domestic football takes a break while the Fifa Men's World Cup takes place.
The decision to host the quadrennial tournament in Qatar means the 2022 edition had to be moved to the winter time due to the searing hot temperatures in the country during the summer months, when the competition is usually held.
That has forced many leagues, particularly in Europe, to alter their schedules this season to accommodate the World Cup. The Premier League began earlier than usual and has paused the current campaign from 14 November until Boxing Day in December while 32 nations compete in the Middle East to be crowned world champions.
