Jodie Whittaker's time as the 13th Doctor in Doctor Who is fast approaching its end. The actress, 40, who has played the role since Peter Capaldi left in 2017, will make her final appearance as the Time Lord in an episode called The Power of the Doctor.
Sex Education's Ncuti Gatwa will take over the part once Whittaker leaves the role. Former showrunner Russell T Davies, who worked on the series during Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant's run, will return to work alongside Gatwa. Meanwhile, fan favourites David Tennant and Catherine Tate, who portrayed the 10th Doctor and Donna Noble respectively, will also be back for a series of specials that will celebrate the long-running series' 60th anniversary next year.
