The horror sequel was a huge hit at the box office, grossing some $240 million worldwide despite some lukewarm and even outright negative reviews on its release. Set a year after the original, the events of the first movie have grown into a dark local legend, even inspiring a local festival dedicated to all things Freddy. That, of course, only leads to more chaos and carnage.
But what about that streaming date? After months of speculation we now have the answer. So read on to find out when and how you can watch the movie from home.
Five Nights at Freddy's 2 streaming release date
Before the film hits streaming you can choose to watch the film right now, if you're willing to pay for it. The film has been available to rent or buy digitally since December 23. You can find the film right now on Google Play, Apple TV, Prime Video, and more. The VOD price is set at $19.99 for a 48-hour rental, though it's $24.99 to buy on Prime Video.
But it's the streaming date and location that you're here for. As Five Nights At Freddy's 2 is a Universal film, we know that it will make its streaming debut on Peacock.
We looked back at some previous Universal films and speculated that the film would be released on Peacock on March 6, 2026, some 91 days after its theatrical release. Well, it turns out that we were a month off in our predictions. In fact, it has been today confirmed that Five Nights At Freddy's 2 will be streaming on Peacock from April 3.
