When is Eurovision on BBC? Semi final and final channels and hosts confirmed

The Eurovision Song Contest is now well underway in Italy, with all the acts taking part in Saturday's final now confirmed, as fans in the UK and across Europe plan on how they will enjoy this year's event.

Eurovision is an event that has been going for decades now and it popularity shows no signs of waning, with it still one of the most watched TV events worldwide year after year. Recent winners have come from acts from Portugal, Israel and The Netherlands, with Mansekin's victory in Rotterdam last year handing the honour of hosting to Italy.

Eurovision 2022 will take place in Turin with the rehearsals, two semi finals and Saturday May 14' s grand final all happening at the Pala Olimpico arena.. Rehearsals have already been blighted by the fact that a the Eurovision stage has been hit by technical difficulties, with the giant sun in the centre failing to move as it's meant to.

As some of the Eurovision countries have to make changes to their performances, the Eurovision odds have Ukraine as the favourites, ahead of Sweden and Italy, with United Kingdom's Sam Ryder also said to be in contention.

When is Eurovision on the BBC and who is hosting?

In a big change to recent years, when coverage of the Eurovision semi finals have aired on BBC Four, this year's semis switch edto being on BBC Three, following its relaunch as a full TV channel once again.

Eurovision semi final 1 took place on Tuesday, May 10, with Rylan Clark and Scott Mills hosting, before they returned two days later for the second semi-final on Thursday, May 12. Both will get going at 8pm.

As it always does, the Eurovision final will are on BBC 1 on Saturday, May 14, at 8pm with Graham Norton the host for the finale. AJ Odudu will have the role of delivering the UK's jury scores during the results section. If you'd rather listen to the final, Ken Bruce will be commentating on Radio 2 from 8pm.
