The World Cup hype is heating up, and attention can firmly switch to Qatar once the final round of Premier League and Championship fixtures take place this weekend.
It has been a strange build-up to the World Cup in many ways, with the competition being held mid-season in winter and a number of controversies surrounding the host nation.
England and Wales will be locking horns in the groups stages of the competition, on November 29, and all English eyes will be on who makes the cut in Gareth Southgate's 26-man squad this week. He has already selected a provisional 55-man squad and must now whittle that list down to 26 - three more than usual, due to the mid-season holding of the competition.
He is expected to confirm his picks on Thursday, November 10, a day after Rob Page reveals his Wales squad for the tournament. Southgate to due to deliver the news at 2pm.
The official announcement of Southgate's World Cup squad will be broadcast live on Sky Sports from noon on November 10.
