Gareth Southgate is close to announcing his 26-man England squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Having already submitted his 55-man provisional squad, the Three Lions boss must now whittle down his final list, with four Manchester United players hoping they have each done enough to earn a spot. Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw, Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho are all in contention, with competition for places higher than ever.
Maguire and Sancho are two who perhaps have caused the most amount of conversation over recent weeks, with the United captain losing his place in the starting XI since his injury and subsequent decline in form. Former Dortmund man Sancho hasn't scored for the Reds since September.
