When is Emma Raducanu playing at Wimbledon? Start time and TV channel for Maria Sakkari match today

Emma Raducanu battles Maria Sakkari for a place in the fourth round at Wimbledon today, in a repeat of their 2021 US Open semi-final clash.

It has been an excellent week at the All England Club so far for the Briton, who has continued her encouraging recent form with comfortable wins over ‘lucky loser’ Renata Zarazua and former Australian Open semi-finalist Elise Mertens.

Now she faces a tougher test against Maria Sakkari in a bid to reach the fourth round at Wimbledon for only the second time in her career overall and first since the year of her unforgettable Grand Slam triumph Stateside.

Sakkari is the current world No9 and a two-time Grand Slam semi-finalist, though she has never previously been beyond the third round at SW19.

McCartney Kessler and Arantxa Rus have been no match for the Greek so far this week, though she will get a huge challenge from the hungry Raducanu.

These two players have only ever met once before on the WTA Tour, with Raducanu famously beating Sakkari in straight sets, 6-1, 6-4, in the 2021 US Open semi-finals at Flushing Meadows.

Emma Raducanu vs Maria Sakkari start time

Raducanu vs Sakkari is the second match scheduled for Centre Court on Friday, between defending men’s champion Carlos Alcaraz’s third-round meeting with Frances Tiafoe and men’s No1 seed Jannik Sinner battling Miomir Kecmanovic.

The start time really depends on the length of Alcaraz’s prior match, which should get underway just after 1:30pm BST. It is expected that Raducanu and Sakkari take to the court at around 5pm BST.
