Amazon Prime day is essentially Black Friday, but exclusively for Amazon Prime customers - two days of crazy discounts on all sorts of products.
This year's event will see reductions of up to 60% on selected Amazon devices and other offers on must-have brands such as Philips, Rimmel, Urban Decay, Garnier and Samsung.
As well as styles from fashion brands including Puma and Swarovski, Amazon is offering its lowest prices ever on select products from Sony and Bose.
On top of all the discounts for consumers, Amazon’s charity initiative, AmazonSmile, will allow customers to support their favourite charity by donating 0.5% of the net purchase price to the their chosen organisation.
When is Amazon Prime Day?
The 48-hour sale kicks off on July 12 at 00.01am and runs through to 23.59pm on July 13 for Prime members in the UK.
Although the official Amazon Prime Day takes place then, sales on Amazon have already started with early deals having been available since June 21.
What is on offer?
Prime members can enjoy discounts of up to 60% on select Amazon products, including devices such as the Echo Dot, Fire TV Cube, Blink Cameras and Fire 7 Kids Pro Tablet.
Customers will also get the chance to save 50% on other top brands.
Alongside the sale, Amazon is launching a project called Win Big By Supporting Small, to help support small businesses. The campaign allows hundreds of thousands of customers all over the world the chance to win Amazon gift cards.
How much money could I save?
Amazon Prime Day deals so far include:
- Amazon Music Unlimited - four months free
- Olay, Pantene and Aussie products - 42% off
- Samsung Galaxy Tablet (A7) - from £170 to £114
Not bad.
We've also picked out some potential deals on Amazon devices if the maximum discounts are applied:
- Echo Dot (4th gen) from £49.99 to £19.99
- Fire 7 Kids Pro Tablet from £99.99 to £40.00
- Fire TV Cube from £109.99 to £44.00
What other devices could be on offer?
Last year saw discounts on both brand new and refurbished products, with prices for as cheap as £40 for a brand new smartphone.
There will be all kinds of products available and while it’s difficult to predict, iPhones, MacBooks and iPads could be among the items with a hefty discount.
So, fingers on buzzers team. Make sure to be ready for when the sale kicks off at one minute past midnight to make sure you get the best deal possible.
All offers are exclusively for Prime members only. If you’re not already Prime member the cost is £7.99 a month or £79 for a year's subscription, which includes access to Amazon Prime TV and free deliveries on certain products.
Students are able to receive a discounted subscription of just £3.99 a month.
