It was India's 2006 tour of Pakistan when Inzamam-ul-Haq was given out obstructing the field in the first ODI of the series in Peshawar, and while the dismissal stirred a controversy, it was the former Pakistan captain's reply at the presentation ceremony that became part of the cricket folklore on a different note.
Inzamam played a delivery from pacer S Sreesanth to mid-off and thought of a quick single but was sent back by the non-striker Younis Khan who saw Suresh Raina pouncing onto the ball. Seeing Inzamam out of his crease, Raina threw at the striker's end. Inzamam, who was still not inside his crease, found himself in the direction of the throw right in front of the stumps and stopped the ball with his bat, like playing a shot.
