When does The Apprentice 2024 start? How to watch season 18

The Apprentice will soon be back for an 18th season, in which candidates will battle it out to win Lord Sugar’s £250,000 business investment.

This series will kick off with a trip to the Scottish Highlands, where the men’s and women’s teams will compete to put on away days for corporate clients. Other tasks will range from working on virtual escape rooms to creating children’s cereals. And we'll see the return of the popular TV shopping task.

Teams will also visit Jersey for the classic discount buying task and Budapest for a tourism-focused challenge.

Tom Allen's post-Apprentice show The Apprentice: You’re Fired will also be returning. It will provide the analysis and an amusing look back over every single task and firing.

Tom will be joined every week by celebrity guests, business professionals and a live studio audience.

What is The Apprentice?

The business-themed reality game show has been broadcast by the BBC since 2005. It was devised after the success of the American original and the international franchise.

The show focuses on a group of entrepreneurs competing in a series of business-related challenges set by entrepreneur Alan Sugar, in order to prove themselves worthy of his £250,000 investment.

Last year, 28-year-old Marnie Swindells won the 17th series of The Apprentice and salon owner Rochelle Anthony came second.

When will The Apprentice season 18 be released?

An official start date has not yet been announced but it seems likely that season 18 could begin in January 2024. Series 17 began on January 5, 2023 at 9pm.

Who will return for The Apprentice?

Lord Sugar will be joined by Karren Brady, now a Tory peer, and Tim Campbell MBE who will help him find his next business partner and play a part in who gets fired week by week.

How to watch The Apprentice

The Apprentice will be on BBC1 and BBC iPlayer in 2024.
