An initial glimpse of Stranger Things season five's actors and sets has been released by Netflix.
The Duffer Brothers, the creators of the series, stated that they are roughly halfway through filming the last season.
Even if season five of the programme is its last, there are still more Stranger Things initiatives in development, such as an animated spinoff series and a live production of Stranger Things: The First Shadow on London's West End.After making its Netflix premiere in 2016, Stranger Things quickly rose to prominence.
But when is the fifth and final season out and what can we expect? Here’s everything you need to know.
When does Stranger Things season 5 come out?
It is anticipated that the season will debut in 2025. An exact date has not been issued.
The eight episodes in the last season of the sci-fi hit show, according to Maya Hawke (who plays Robin in the show), would feel like "eight films" and she also mentioned that they are "very long”.
She told Podcrushed (a podcast hosted by Penn Badgley): “Our showrunners, Matt and Ross [Duffer], take a lot of responsibility. They have an amazing team of writers, but they’re very involved. They write a lot and they are very intense and serious about the quality of the continued writing, and so it takes a long time to write each season, and a long time to shoot them.”
What’s new in Stranger Things season 5?
We have a new teaser trailer that includes the original four actors as well as some sets.
Millie Bobby Brown, who plays Eleven, is seen reflecting on her Stranger Things journey.
“I started when I was 10, I’m now turning 20 years old. Feels very weird.” she said.
While Noah Schnapp, who plays Will Byers, said, “It’s just so exciting, I think this is going to be the best season yet.”
The video then shows us inside the set where the show is being filmed, with exclusive glimpses of Linda Hamilton getting into her trailer, Vecna making a comeback, Lucas and Max getting back together, a slimy, scary dark hole, walls covered in vines from the Upside Down, Hawke and Joe Keery, and a tonne of other exciting revelations.
Nell Fisher, Jake Connelly, and Alex Breaux are the three new actors that have been added to the season five roster, according to the production.
The team like to keep the plot a secret, therefore, they haven’t revealed much of that either. Except for one tweet revealing scene one of season five.

The screenplay states that the episode would begin in the dark, with the sound of a chilling wind and trees creaking in the distance, followed by the sound of a child singing "a familiar song”.
