Wondering 'when does Love Island 2023 start?' Well, you're not the only one—especially as many of us saw a certain notification land on our phones screens earlier today...Well, it seems our reality show dry spell is almost at an end—here's all the intel on Love Island's rumored return.

From fallouts to secret kisses, our evenings sure have been missing a dose of drama since the final of Winter Love Island back in March, which saw Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan crowned the winners. And of course, it was the legendary series where Maya Jama made her debut as the new host of the show.

Thankfully though, it seems our wait for more memorable Love Island moments might be almost over.  So grab your monogrammed water bottles and Love Island suitcases people—here's when Love Island is back on TV...

When is Love Island back?

We might've all got a little too excited after seeing the Love Island app notification declaring that 'Love Island is back', but alas, it seems to have been an apparent glitch, as we still have a few weeks to go until all the grafting and challenges galore. But it's coming very soon...

According to the Sun, the reality show could return as early as Monday, June 5, 2023, with a source telling the publication in April: "Love Island will start on June 5, just as people are getting ready to enjoy their summers. ITV have already lined up the islanders who will be heading to the show’s villa in Majorca.

Adding: "This series will be eight weeks long, meaning the couple who win the show will be in the villa for two months."

Now, of course, ITV is yet to confirm the official date that Love Island returns, but considering how Love Island season 8 kicked off on June 6, 2022, it's a pretty safe bet that 2023's summer season will follow suit. So, keep an eye out on socials and the Love Island app, folks—the official announcement could be any day now...

Will Maya Jama return for 'Love Island 2023'?

After being announced as Love Island's new host in October 2022, following Laura Whitmore's exit, it is thought that Maya will return once more to host duties—which yes, means more incredible Maya Jama Love Island outfits are on the way!

As per previous seasons, Maya will join the first 12 singles and bombshell at the villa in the first installment, for the first coupling up of the show.

Until then though, we've still got a few more weeks to go, so why not binge-watch all the best Love Island seasons in the meantime?
