When does Britain's Got Talent 2022 start and who are the judges this year?

After a year off the air, Britain’s Got Talent will be searching for fresh talent once again. The new season will see acts from all over the country travel to London’s Palladium in order to impress the judges.

Returning as hosts are the Geordie duo Ant and Dec. The judging panel will also include some familiar faces.

The talent show is introducing a new feature this year known as the Golden Moments, members from the audience whose family or friends have secretly applied for them to be on the show will be asked to come on stage and perform. If you’re attending the show make sure you come prepped.

When does Britain’s Got Talent 2022 start and who are the judges this year? Here’s everything you need to know.

When does Britain's Got Talent 2022 start?

Britain’s Got Talent is back on the small screen on Saturday, April 16, at 8pm on ITV and ITV Hub . The first episode will last an hour and 25 minutes and will see the first set of auditions take place. A second round of auditions and episodes will air on Sunday, April 17, at 7.35pm.

Episodes will then air weekly on Saturdays and Sundays. Ant and Dec will be encouraging the talent and presenting the show as they have done in previous years. The pair have been at the helm of the show since the first season in 2007 and are also given the same Golden Buzzer rights as the judges.

The Golden Buzzer is a significant part of the show, each judge and Ant and Dec are given one Golden Buzzer act who will go straight to the final. However, they must use it wisely as it is for one act and one act only.

Who are the judges this year?

The judging panel will include Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon. The contestants for this year’s show haven’t been revealed just yet, viewers will have to wait once the auditions take place this Saturday.

The previous series was won by Ant and Dec’s Golden Buzzer act Jon Courtenay, a comedian and musician.
