Antonio Conte's future as Tottenham head coach is a big discussion point at present after two cup exits in the space of a week. Bad enough for supporters seeing Spurs knocked out of the FA Cup by Championship side Sheffield United, the team then produced a limp display against AC Milan that saw their Champions League aspirations come to a sorry end.
The nightmare week has very much signalled that Daniel Levy and Tottenham need to make a change, with plenty of supporters making their opinion crystal clear come the full-time whistle. Mauricio Pochettino's name was chanted by some when exiting Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and the Spurs chairman could quite easily turn to the former boss if Conte's time in N17 is to come to an end.
Amid all the doom and gloom surrounding Spurs at present after going another season without a piece of silverware, they can still finish the season by claiming a top-four finish with 12 games of the campaign to go. No other distractions could play into Tottenham's hands as it did 12 months ago, although a repeat of their current form and they can kiss goodbye to Europe's premier competition in 2023/24.
