When Christian Pulisic will complete Chelsea transfer as early AC Milan announcement made

Ruben Loftus-Cheek has all-but-confirmed the transfer of Christian Pulisic to AC Milan as he gears up to play with his ex-Chelsea team mate once more.

Both players are set to join up again in Italy with Loftus-Cheek's move for £18 million ($23.1m) being confirmed last month. After 19 years at Stamford Bridgem the midfielder left his boyhood club to pursue a new challenge with just one year remaining on his contract.

Pulisic is in the same boat and will cut his four year stay at Chelsea short when he moves on later this summer. Having been used as a transfer tool in negotiations between the two clubs last year, Pulisic is now set to make a permanent move away from SW6 in a bid to reignite his career.

A fee of £18.9 ($24.2m) has been finalised after weeks of talks with interested parties Lyon and Juventus readied to miss out on the USMNT star. He is now likely to be announced as a Milan player before Chelsea set off for their tour of America next week.

Although the deal is far from under wraps, it has been confirmed early by Loftus-Cheek. "Christian Pulisic is coming [to Milan] tomorrow," he said in a press conference. "We have already spoken. He will really help us. I told him he has to give everything because he's among the best in the world."

Pulisic is now just waiting to have his medical at San Siro before an official announcement can be made. That is set to take place on Wednesday before a four year contract is signed by the 24-year-old.

With just one goal scored for Chelsea in the entire 2022/23 season, Pulisic's exit marks the end of a disappointing 24 months for the American. Having come in with high hopes he struggled to cement a place in the side and was often shunted around by managers during ever-changing squad environments.

With the hope of leading his USMNT side to a famous World Cup campaign in 2026 he is now seeking a fresh chance to make a mark on the European football scene once again. Thanks to Loftus-Cheek, it is one step closer.
