When Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici are set to meet to discuss Tottenham transfer plan

Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici are set to meet today (Friday) in Italy to discuss Tottenham's transfer plans for this summer and what next season will hold, football.london understands.

The Spurs head coach has been enjoying some family time following the end to a Premier League season in which he guided the club into fourth place in the table and delivered Champions League football for next season. Shortly after that came the news that Tottenham owners ENIC had raised £150m to pump into the club with the bulk of that expected to be put towards building a much stronger squad for next season.

football.london understands that Spurs' managing director of football Paratici has flown out to Italy to hold talks with Conte in Turin about how the pair can assemble a squad together that allows the club to compete strongly in both the Premier League and Champions League.

While there have been previous doubts about Conte's future, the feeling within Spurs is that the head coach is happy with the ambition being shown to push on next season and help him bring silverware to the club. Those around the Italian, who has another year left on his contract at Tottenham, are also in this moment expecting him to remain in north London for the campaign ahead.

Tottenham's own confidence is shown by the fact that chairman Daniel Levy is not travelling over for the meeting and is instead leaving it to the two compatriots. Paratici and Conte, who speak on a daily basis, will finalise their strategy for the summer ahead and decide exactly who will leave the club and which players they will bring in to strengthen the squad.

Both men are admirers of Inter Milan centre-back Alessandro Bastoni and if Tottenham are going to bring the 23-year-old Italy international to N17 then the club will have to spend more than they ever have before on a defender. football.london understands that Inter will not accept anything less than 60m euros (£51m) for the centre-back. Spurs may be helped by Inter's interest in signing Torino defender Gleison Bremer and needing the funds for that move.

Conte is looking for at least six new arrivals at Spurs and for the club to bring in some more experienced names to continue to improve the team's mentality in the big moments. For example, on the left, both 29-year-old Filip Kostic from Eintracht Frankfurt and 33-year-old Ivan Perisic have been looked at as targets to provide competition at wing-back.

Tottenham will be looking to move players on this summer to add to that new injection of money, with Harry Winks, Steven Bergwijn, Tanguy Ndombele, Giovani Lo Celso and Sergio Reguilon among those the club will listen to offers for while decisions will be made over whether to loan out or accept permanent deals for Joe Rodon and Bryan Gil.
