When and where Newcastle United's international players are in action and how to watch

A small section of Newcastle United players will have their chance to represent their country on the world's stage later this week, from crucial World Cup qualification play-off's to international friendlies. Six have been chosen so far, with the likes of Bruno Guimaraes, Emil Krafth and Martin Dubvraka all receiving call-ups.

The Toon are next in Premier League action against Tottenham on Sunday April 3, with Eddie Howe opting to take the remaining players away to Dubai for warm weather training earlier this week. His side will also perhaps look to rest following a hectic recent schedule that has seen United record six wins from their last nine games.

With others however as mentioned away with their respective nations, there is no chance at such break, with international fixtures set to take place across the next week or two. We here at ChronicleLive have compiled all the information you need to keep right up to date with those chosen to represent their nation...

Bruno Guimaraes - Brazil

Newcastle midfielder Bruno has been selected to represent Brazil in their upcoming World Cup qualifiers against both Chile (Thursday March 24) and Bolivia (Wednesday March 30). The 24-year-old at present has four caps to his name for the Seleção and will bid to further increase his side's chance at progression to the World Cup in Qatar next year.

How to watch

Both Brazil fixtures are set to be shown on Premier Sports during the next week, with their first game against Chile a 11:30 BST kick-off. The latter clash against Bolivia presents a 12:30am BST kick-off time here in the UK, with Bruno hoping his side can extend their lead at the top of the South American qualification group.

Emil Krafth - Sweden

United full-back Emil Krafth has been named in the Sweden squad, as they prepare for their crucial World Cup 2022 qualification play-off semi-final with the Czech Republic on Thursday March 24 (19:45 kick-off). Krafth has 37 caps for the Blue and Yellow and will hope to also aid his side's chances of progression later this week.

How to watch

Sweden's clash with the Czech Republic was set to be shown on Sky Sports here in UK this Thursday, however there has been no announcement as to which channel the game will be shown on. Highlights will be available shortly after the match has completed however, which can be viewed on Sky Sports YouTube channels.

Fabian Schar - Switzerland

Newcastle defender Fabian Schar will hope to record his 70th and 71st caps for Switzerland during their two upcoming international friendlies over the next two weeks. The Swiss first face England at Wembley on Saturday March 26 (17:30 kick-off), before then hosting Kosovo three days later on Tuesday March 29 (17:00 kick-off) at the Letzigrund stadium.

How to watch

Switzerland's game with the Three Lions at Wembley is live on Sky Sports Main Event on Saturday afternoon, with coverage set to get underway an hour earlier at 16:30. The game against Kosovo on Tuesday of next week however is not set to be televised.

Martin Dubravka - Slovakia

Newcastle keeper Martin Dubravka has also been called upon for his services internationally by home country Slovakia, with the Falcons facing Norway on Friday March 25 (17:00 kick-off) before their game with Finland on Tuesday March 29 (17:00 kick-off).

How to watch

Magpies fans wishing to tune in will have no choice but to wait as both of Slovakia's games are not set to be televised here in the UK. Highlights will be available however in due course across their official YouTube channels.

Chris Wood - New Zealand

Magpies striker Chris Wood will be in action for the All Whites in their World Cup qualifiers in Qatar. They play in four-team group stage with the winners facing a side from CONACAF for a place in the World Cup.

How to watch

beIN Sports are showing New Zealand's game, while highlights will also be shown on the official YouTube channels.

Mo Sangare - Liberia

Magpies Under 23's star Mo Sangare has been selected to represent in their upcoming triple-header of games across the international break. The Lone Star face Benin on Thursday March 24, Sierra Leone on Sunday March 27 and Burundi on Tuesday March 29.

How to watch

All of Liberia's games are unfortunately not set to be televised here in the UK. Highlights will be available in due course across their official YouTube channels.

Max Thompson - England U18s

Teenage United star Max Thompson has been chosen to represent Ryan Garry's side for their double-header against both Sweden (Friday March 25) and Denmark (Monday March 28), over in Spain at the Marbella Football Centre. Thompson will hope to record a potential second and third cap against both teams, having made his debut for the U18's back in October 2021 against Russia.

How to watch

With no official announcement made surrounding the details of how to watch both games, it is worth noting England's official YouTube platform will provide highlights of both games shortly after their completion. The games will not be shown on TV here in the UK however.
