Every professional golfer aspires to winning a Major title, it’s the ultimate accolade and marks a significant milestone in a player’s career. The world's best female players have five opportunities in 2026 to claim a coveted title and put their name in the history books. Here are the details of when and where the women’s Majors take place
23-26 April - The Chevron Championship, Memorial Park Golf Course, Houston, Texas
The first women’s Major of the year moves to a new home in 2026 at Memorial Park Golf Course in Houston. Moving from its recent suburban Texas location to the heart of the city, this public course will provide a fresh challenge for the world's best.
The defending champion is Mao Saigo, who captured her first Major title last April in a thrilling five-way playoff at Carlton Woods. Saigo remained a force throughout the rest of 2025, finishing the year inside the world top 10, and she heads to Houston as one of the game's most consistent ball strikers.
4-7 June - US Women’s Open, The Riviera Country Club, California
The most prestigious Major prize in the women’s game heads to the iconic Riviera Country Club in California to celebrate the venue’s centennial. This legendary course will host its first-ever women’s Major, offering a massive $12 million total prize purse.
The defending champion is Sweden’s Maja Stark, who produced a commanding two-stroke victory at Erin Hills in 2025. Stark’s ability to handle Major pressure will be tested once again as she faces Riviera’s narrow, tree-lined fairways.
25-28 June - KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, Hazeltine National Golf Club, Minnesota
The women’s Major season continues in late June at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Minnesota. This former Ryder Cup host is a parkland test that demands both power and strategic precision.
Last year’s winner, Minjee Lee, secured her third career Major at PGA Frisco with a brilliant display of iron play. While Lee's pedigree makes her a natural contender, Hazeltine's small greens, narrow fairways and water on half the holes will invite a wide-open battle among the world’s leading female players.
9-12 July - Amundi Evian Championship - Evian Resort Golf Club, France
Named after the tournament’s host course, the stunning Evian Resort in Evian-Les-Bains, France, is famous for its dramatic elevation changes and tricky undulating greens.
Defending champion Grace Kim produced a sensational finish in 2025 by defeating Jeeno Thitikul in a high-stakes playoff. Kim’s eagle on the final hole to force a playoff was one of the defining moments of last season, proving she can handle the pressure of the game's biggest stages.
30 July-2 August - AIG Women’s Open, Royal Lytham & St Annes, Lancashire
The 2026 women’s Major calendar concludes at the historic Royal Lytham & St Annes in England, marking the 50th staging of this prestigious championship. This classic links layout, featuring 167 penal bunkers, requires the highest level of strategic discipline.
Last year’s champion was Miyu Yamashita, who mastered some brutal conditions at Royal Porthcawl to win by two strokes. Yamashita’s victory was a masterclass in links management, and she will be looking to join the likes of Georgia Hall as a winner on the Lancashire coast.
