Alexandro Bernabei is free from suspension at new club Celtic according to reports in a boost for the Argentine.
The left-back has arrived from Lanus and is the club's first ever player to hail from Argentina. He is expected to compete with Greg Taylor for the starting position on the left of boss Ange Postecoglou's defence during a season that includes a Premiership title defence and Champions League group stage football.
Whether he could make his debut on the first day of the league term against Aberdeen though was unknown. Bernabei was sent off in his final Lanus game during a victory over Colon for a headbutt and there was a chance the two-game suspension from that could come with him to Celtic.

His former club fulfilled two fixtures while the 21-year-old was still on their books and Express Sport state the necessary paperwork lodged at Hampden from the Argentina FA had no punishment mentioned. It means he is all set to be in line for a debut on July 31st against the Dons, which will be the Hoops' title day at Parkhead.
Postecoglou's side are currently in Austria for a training camp ahead of another demanding campaign, with several new recruits made. Alongside Bernabei, Jota, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Daizen Maeda and Benjamin Siegrist have all signed permanent contracts.
