Wheelchair rugby player Shelley needs thousands for specially-fitted chair

Wheelchair rugby player Shelley Goodman has launched a fundraiser to buy a specially-fitted wheelchair to she can take part in her first competitive game.

Shelley, who has multiple sclerosis, is the vice-captain of the Taunton Gladiators wheelchair rugby team and is desperate to play for them in June but she needs the new wheelchair.

The chairs need to be specially-fitted and cost between £2,000 and £5,000. To help raise the cash, Shelley has set up a fundraiser and is completing a 26-mile marathon on a hand bike on April 24 to raise money for her first competitive game in June.
