Anybody who uses WhatsApp on their iPhone has been urged to download the latest update of the app, as there's a big change available for users.
The platform has announced that people will now be able to edit their messages after they've been sent, after revealing the news of the update last month.
It's now being rolled out to users, but it's vital that you have the latest version of the app installed if you want to get this must-have feature.
The Mirror reports that this feature will only be available if you have WhatsApp version 23.12.76 downloaded onto your device.
Once the change has come into effect, users will be able to edit their messages for up to 15 minutes after they've been sent - ideal if you've spotted an error or an embarrassing typo. You can also completely change the entire content of a message you've sent.
To make use of this feature, all you need to do is long-press on your message and you'll see the option to edit.
Tap on this, make your changes then hit the blue tick to update what has been written.
"For the moments when you make a mistake, or simply change your mind, you can now edit your sent messages," WhatsApp explained in a blog post.
"From correcting a simple misspelling to adding extra context to a message, we’re excited to bring you more control over your chats. All you need to do is long-press on a sent message and choose ‘Edit’ from the menu for up to fifteen minutes after."
Despite this announcement being made last night, many iPhone users are only just seeing the change being rolled out.
To make sure you're using the latest version of the app, all you need to do is head to the App Store and search for WhatsApp.
Then, if it's showing a blue notification with the word 'UPDATE', tap that and wait for the new version to download, and you'll be able to put the feature to good use.
