Manchester United released their new home kit on Tuesday. The design of the jersey did not make any radical departures from years gone by.
Manufacturers Adidas created a predominantly red kit with a black trim around the shoulders and neck. It will be accompanied this season by white shorts and black socks.
While some fans have been counting down the days for the kit reveal, others will not be buying it as they continue to protest against the Glazers' ownership of the club. Fans gathered outside the entrance to the Old Trafford Megastore on Tuesday morning to send a clear message about not buying the shirt until the American family has left amid the ongoing takeover discussions.
Now United's home shirt is out, attention turns towards what the away kit might look like. MEN Sport has taken a look at everything you need to know about the new shirt.
When will it be released?
At this stage, a date has not been announced for when the away kit will be out. United go on tour to the US in the middle of July so it should be released before then.
What will it look like?
No designs have been confirmed by Adidas but speculation suggests United will be playing in a green and white striped shirt next season. A 'leak' of this shirt with the Team Viewer sponsorship was circulated on social media earlier this month.
One alternative design was floated in December last year which depicted a central United badge on a black and white striped shirt. If not used as the Reds' away kit, this could be an option for the third kit.
How much will it cost and where can I buy it?
No prices have yet been announced for the away kit but it is safe to assume they will be similar, if not the same, to the home shirt. On United's official website, the home shirt starts at £80 ($101.53) for adults and £60 ($76.15) for kids. The most expensive version of this kit is the 'authentic' long sleeved shirt which is priced at £120 ($152.30). Along with the official club website, the shirt will be available at major sports retailers across the globe.
