Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie has rejected a move to Aston Villa in favour of waiting on an offer from Chelsea and Tottenham. The U.S. Men's National Team (USMNT) star has been linked with a switch to the Premier League following some impressive displays at the World Cup.
A player who Fabio Paratici is a big fan of after initially bringing him to Juventus from German side Schalke in 2020, the 24-year-old has been linked with a move to the Lilywhites ever since the Tottenham managing director of football departed Turin. After falling down the pecking order at the Juventus Stadium, it seems as though the Old Lady will finally cash in on McKennie this month.
Chelsea are in the market for a new central midfielder and after a deal for Enzo Fernandez has seemingly stalled, a move for the Juve star may now be viable. Antonio Conte is keen to add new players to his squad to help Spurs reclaim a top four spot come the end of the season with Tottenham currently five points adrift of fourth place.

According to Corriere dello Sport, McKennie has rejected a move to Premier League club Aston Villa as he is waiting for an offer from Chelsea, Tottenham or Borussia Dortmund. The 24-year-old's contract is set to expire in 2025 but his opportunities at Juventus have become limited.
Now that Paul Pogba is back fit for Juventus, McKennie may find a regular starting place hard to come by and could be looking to leave the club during the January transfer window. The report adds that the American midfielder would prefer a move to Dortmund over Chelsea or Tottenham, possibly due to their league positions in the Premier League.
