What went on in London this week: Rockstars descend on Bowie's childhood home

Londoner’s Diary

To Plaistow Grove! So cheered the old rockers as they made their way to the childhood home of David Bowie in the borough of Bromley. Excitingly, the property has been acquired by the Heritage of London Trust and will be fully restored and opened to the public next year. Last Thursday it played host to Ten Years On, where Bowie’s legacy was toasted by Sir Bob Geldof and Sex Pistols bassist Glen Matlock.
