The First-Ever Golden Bachelor Australia Winner Revealed As Bear Hands Out His Final Rose

We’ve finally reached the pointy end of The Golden Bachelor, with 61-year-old Barry ‘Bear’ Myrden handing out his final rose. So, to see who clutched Bear’s heart, here’s The Golden Bachelor Australia winner for 2025.

This article contains The Golden Bachelor Australia spoilers. Proceed with caution.

After the future of Bachelor Nation was up in the air after Network 10 hadn’t announced a new series, Channel Nine came in clutch by adding The Golden Bachelor Australia to its reality TV roster.

While we’re used to the schemes, scandals and gossip of Nine’s Married At First Sight, The Golden Bachelor bring a bit of balance with its wholesome yet (mildly) spicy moments.

In the first-ever Golden Bachie, we get to witness Bear — who’d been single for 14 years, following the tragic passing of his first wife, Aurdrey Myrden — find love amongst 20 beautiful ladies.

But now that 20 has gone down to two beautiful ladies: Sunny and Janette.

So, to see if The Golden Bachelor Australia was successful in its first run Down Under, here’s who won Bear’s heart.

Who is The Golden Bachelor Australia winner?

After a LUSH vacation at in South Africa’s Cape Town, Bear has officially handed out his final rose…

and it appears that SUNNY has won his heart! Right after that sneaky, sneaky ad-break. Bear finally confessed his love for Sunny.

“When I think about the future, the life I want to live, how I want to spend the rest of my days, I can’t imagine doing it without,” Bear said before they shared a passionate kiss.

At the start of the season, fans initially believed the winner could be Jan, who got the first rose of the season.

One fan even posted on X that she has the “winner’s edit”.

A few episodes later, rumours erupted around a potential win for contestant Bianca Dye, after her hand was supposedly seen wearing a ring gifted by Bear in a preview of the finale.

In the snippet, Bear can be seen placing a diamond on an unseen woman’s finger, prompting Redditors to theorise that it is Bianca who receives the ring and therefore wins Bear’s heart.

“Bianca wins. The hand at the end is pale and not very wrinkled, clearly one of the younger women,’ one eagle-eyed fan wrote on Reddit.

“Out of curiosity I tried to see if I could work out who it was and it’s clearly Bianca. She has the same loose skin,” they added.

Other fans weren’t convinced, saying they wouldn’t put it past producers to show a “stunt hand” to “trick people” as to who’ll receive the final rose.

Unfortunately, both Bianca and Jan were dumped from the mansion, ruling them out as The Golden Bachelor winner.

Prior to the show, Bear and Golden Bachelor Australia host Samantha Armytage were at the centre of romance rumours after following their joint appearance at the 2025 Logie Awards in Sydney.

Since then, the pair busted whispers of a romantic connection ahead of the show’s debut, with Bear telling the Kyle and Jackie O show that Samantha was a “great mentor”, adding “that’s about as far as it went”.
