A cyclist in New York said a driver chased him through a bike lane and then appeared to try to take his bicycle, in an encounter that was captured on video and later shared online. The cyclist posted his footage on Reddit and shared his own account of what led to the confrontation.
As shown in the video, the driver nearly hit him while making a right turn. In response, the cyclist said he yelled and gave the side of the driver’s car “a little tap” with his hand, adding that it did not cause any damage. He alleged that the driver then began chasing him down the bike lane for an entire avenue, which prompted him to start recording.
