Ange Postecoglou knows all about Celtic transfer target Tomoki Iwata - because the Hoops boss already signed the Japanese star.

The former Yokohama Marinos boss is set for a Parkhead reunion with the 25-year-old after reports suggest the J-League man is close to becoming Celtic's third signing of the winter window, with a medical now 'set' according to outlet Sponichi. The report states it will be an initial loan before a switch of £800,000 is permanently agreed between the two clubs.

Postecoglou looks set to delve in to his wide knowledge of the Far East football landscape once again after big transfer hits with Kyogo Furuhashi, Reo Hatate and Daizen Maeda.
