What to know from Packers’ first injury report of Week 7

The Green Bay Packers released the team’s first injury report of Week 7 on Wednesday. The team will release two more injury reports, including a final injury report on Friday with official injury designations before Sunday’s showdown with the Washington Commanders.

Here’s everything to know from the first injury report:

– Outside linebacker Rashan Gary, who played through a toe injury last week, was a full participant at Wednesday’s practice. That’s a good sign in terms of this being a truly minor injury.

– Quarterback Aaron Rodgers did not practice while rehabbing a thumb injury. He said the plan is the same as last week: sit Wednesday, return to practice on Thursday and Friday and then play Sunday.

– Receiver Randall Cobb (ankle) and offensive lineman Jake Hanson (biceps) did not practice after suffering injuries against the Jets. Both could be injured reserve candidates by the end of the week.

– Rookie receiver Christian Watson, who didn’t play last week, wasn’t available to practice Wednesday while nursing a hamstring injury. He might be hard-pressed to play Sunday.

– Offensive tackles David Bakhtiari and Elgton Jenkins continue to be limited participants at practice.

– Receiver Sammy Watkins did return to practice, but he remains on IR.

– The Commanders were without six players at practice Wednesday: quarterback Carson Wentz, cornerback William Jackson III, tight end Logan Thomas, running back Jonathan Williams, tight end John Bates and receiver Dyami Brown. Offensive tackle Sam Cosmi and receiver Jahan Dotson were limited.
