What Titans said about loss to Jags: Jeffery Simmons gets emotional

The Tennessee Titans’ 2022 season finally came to an end on Saturday night after a defeat at the hands of the Jacksonville Jaguars that ended the Titans’ two-year run as AFC South champions.

For a team that wasn’t expected to do much in Week 18, the Titans still found a way to break their fans’ hearts, as Tennessee was staked to a 16-13 lead late in the fourth quarter.

Unfortunately, a Jaguars sack led to a Josh Dobbs fumble that Jacksonville was able to recover and return for six. At the very least, the ruling of a fumble was questionable, and confirmed way too quickly.

After the game was over, Titans defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons got emotional when reflecting on the 2022 campaign.

Simmons’ play dipped as the season went along, but he was also playing hurt for more than half of the campaign. Hats off to him for doing everything he could to stay on the field for his team while the rest of his teammates were dropping like flies around him.

Now, a look at what else the Titans had to say about the season-ending loss to the Jaguars that will lead to an offseason in which the Titans have several questions to answer.
