What time will thunder hit? Hour-by-hour weather forecast as thunderstorms set to batter North East

Gateshead Durham Newcastle upon Tyne North Tyneside Northumberland South Tyneside

The Met Office has forecast a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms for the North East of England and Southern Scotland.

In our region, the warning covers Durham, Gateshead, Newcastle upon Tyne, North Tyneside, Northumberland, South Tyneside, Sunderland. It will be in place from 12pm to 7pm on Wednesday June 8.
