March Madness is officially here! It’s that time of year again for some of the most wild few weeks of the sports calendar. Kicking off the proceedings is Selection Sunday, where we find out which teams make the cut.
Heading into Sunday, South Carolina tops the women’s AP poll despite being upset by Kentucky in the SEC Championship on a bonkers last-second shot. The Gamecocks do enter the tournament with the best record of the bunch (29-2) so it’s no surprise to see them keep their ranking here. Stanford, the 2021 national champion, clocks in at No. 2 behind South Carolina as well.
Here’s how the AP’s top 10 shakes out as we head into Selection Sunday.
