Molly McCann returns to the scene of her brilliant spinning-elbow KO on Saturday when she fights Hannah Goldy at the O2 Arena.‘Meatball’ Molly produced a stunning performance to floor Luana Carolina on the UFC’s most recent visit to London in March.
The Everton fan’s knockout saw her awarded a $50,000 performance bonus. Tonight’s opponent Goldy has lost two of her last three fight but McCann insists that history means nothing.
“That spinning elbow means f*** all on Saturday doesn’t it,” she said at a press conference this week. “That’s not going to win me the fight living off the last fight. But what it has done it’s given me the belief and the mental fortitude to come into this one and know what I’m really capable of.
I think you may have all really seen it last time I was here. I was calm. I was collected. I had my odd little jokes and my swear words here and there. But I’m really finding my feet in the UFC now and I just want to show consistency.
“Look, I’m actually fighting someone who I’ve actually got a reach on so I don’t actually have to force a fight for a change, I’m just going to be able to stick and move and have a good go.”

BT Sport will show the event, with their coverage of the prelims getting underway at 6pm. McCann's fight against Goldy is on the main card which begins at 8pm. Fight Night 208 is headlined by Tom Aspinall vs Curtis Blaydes.
