Mason Mount is set to make his first appearance in a Manchester United shirt when they face Leeds in a friendly on Wednesday.
The Red Devils will kickstart their pre-season campaign with a game against recently-relegated Leeds in Oslo as Erik ten Hag gets to see his side in action for the first time in six weeks. The last time United took to the field was in the FA Cup as they were beaten 2-1 by treble-winners Manchester City.
Ten Hag gave his non-international stars five weeks' off before they returned for pre-season last Thursday, whilst those that represented their nations are filtering back into training. Lisandro Martinez, Antony, Dean Henderson and Donny van de Beek were amongst the first back, with new signing Mount joining them late last week.
United confirmed the £60million arrival of Mount from Chelsea on July 5 as the England international became their first summer addition. Now, the 24-year-old could be in line to play his first minutes for the Red Devils as they entertain Daniel Farke's Leeds.
The Whites were relegated from the Premier League, having endured a turbulent campaign under three different managers, ending with stalwart Sam Allardyce. They are yet to make a summer signing, but have kept hold of their most prized assets, such as Wilfried Gnonto, Jack Harrison and Tyler Adams.
When is the match?
Manchester United will face Leeds at 4pm BST on Wednesday, July 12.
The game will take place at the Ullevaal Stadion in Oslo, Norway.
How to watch
For Manchester United fans, the fixture will be shown live on MUTV on the club channel, the United App and ManUtd.com. The full match replay will be available to watch afterwards via MUTV on-demand.
As for Leeds supporters, they will be able to stream the game on LUTV.
Team news
Tom Heaton is set to start in goal for United as he is the only current senior goalkeeper fit and available following the departure of David de Gea. Dean Henderson is back in training but is still recovering from surgery.
Martinez returned to training last week after suffering a nasty foot injury in April and may play some part, while Van de Beek could feature following his injury earlier this year.
As for Leeds, Stuart Dallas, Tyler Adams and Luis Sinisterra have all been suffering from long-term injuries but Farke will be keen to see them play some minutes in Oslo. A number of players have already left Leeds following their relegation to the Championship, including Robin Koch, Diego Llorente and Weston McKennie.
